Autonomous automotive technology will be a highly visible feature at the massive electronics-related trade show now known as CES 2016 (formerly the Consumer Electronics Show) The show runs from January 6-9, 2016, in Las Vegas, NV.
At a presentation by Ford Motors executives, the company CEO revealed plans to produce an autonomously driven car for the masses, to be on public roads by 2020. Considering the many technological and legal hurdles to clear, this seems a very ambitious deadline. However, other companies such as Tesla, Audi, and Faraday have all made similar declarations.
